Carla Saw the Possibilities: Furnishing a Home, ReStore Style

When Carla shops the Knoxville Habitat ReStore, she isn't always looking for a finished piece. She is looking for possibility.

Furniture, mirrors, lighting, cabinets, tile, doors, bathroom components and even luxury wallpaper found their way home with her. Some were used just as intended. Others became something entirely unexpected.

One of the best examples? A desk.

Carla took the desk apart and found new purposes for its individual pieces throughout her home, using them to enhance a fireplace, upgrade her laundry room and even help create a dining room table.

And she didn't stop there.

ReStore cabinets became custom-looking built-ins. More cabinets helped form a bar. Tile added character to backsplashes. Throughout it all, Carla’s creativity turned ReStore purchases into details uniquely suited to her home.

The result is a home filled with personality and a reminder that creating a beautiful space doesn't always mean buying everything brand-new or using something exactly as it was intended.

Carla's resourcefulness embodies something we love about ReStore shopping: you never know what you'll discover or what it might become.

And when you shop at the Knoxville Habitat ReStore, those creative choices do even more. Purchases help support Knoxville Habitat for Humanity's work to create affordable homeownership opportunities in our community.

So the next time you're walking the aisles, take a page from Carla's book.

Don't just look at what something is. Imagine what it could be.
